ERIC DUNN

Standup Bass

We know you are dying to learn about Eric Dunn. We promise his background info is coming soon. What we can tell you right now is he is a Savannah native whose day job is working on movie sets. Fun fact about Eric ... he can change his baby's diapers almost as good as he can play bass.

JEFF BURG

Rhythm Guitar

Guitars are basically Jeff's life. He buys them, sells them, merchandises them, restrings them, tunes them, accessorizes them, reads about them, talks about them -- oh, and plays them. He's "The Guitar Guy" at Portman's Music here in Savannah. If you play guitar, you know Jeff.

JEFF POWELL

Lead Guitar

Jeff Powell was born and raised in Virginia. An early memory was collecting Jackson5 singles from the back of Alpha-bits cereal boxes, which later moved into pilfering the local public library's record collection. Jeff grew up in public school orchestras and jazz/stage bands, but his main focus was guitar, learning to play blues based rock and soul music off records. Seeing the Buddy Rich Orchestra as a teen impressed upon him the power, depth, and personal expression in jazz music, inspiring him to enroll at Virginia Commonwealth University to study in the jazz performance program led by acclaimed writer/arranger Doug Richards. Around this time, he discovered the music of Django Reinhardt and the magical, surreal world of Gypsy Jazz, co-founding a local favorite group, Gypsy Roots. Jeff moved to Savannah a few years ago and has enjoyed finding new musical relationships with the area's rich talent, allowing him to continue studying and performing the infectious, romantic, quirky, and soulful music of Gypsy Jazz.
